The Cowboy Church may have been leveled by flames, but the members are not letting this level their spirits.
Shaun Phillips lives right next door and was one of the first on the scene.
"By the time I got all the livestock let loose in the back pens," said Phillips. "Wasn't too long after that the flames started coming out of the roof."
By the time Cowboy Church Pastor, Greg Crawford arrived however, it was already too late.
"When we drove up there wasn't anything we could do, so we just sat and watched," said Pastor Crawford.
He isn't worried though, at all.
"Yeah this is just a building... the congregation is the church."
They still held church Sunday. It was in the barn next door. There's no heating, there's not even a door, but they'll continue to hold it there until they find a permanent place.
While most spirits are high, it still hurts.
"It was pretty devastating to me," said Phillips emotionally.
Phillips has been apart of the congregation for nearly 10 years.
"It's my church and I love everybody that goes to it so yeah, it was pretty tough."
He knows he still has a place to go however, and knows the church will continue on.
"This is just a hiccup," explained Pastor Crawford. "Thing's happen, move on."
It won't stop them from having their regular Tuesday night worship, bible study and it won't stop the other programs, especially Sunday morning worship.
Despite their beloved church building burning to the ground, they still have a church.
"We're moving, said Pastor Crawford. "We're rockin' and rollin'."
They don't assume it was set intentionally, but when the weather clears, the fire marshal will begin his investigation, likely on Wednesday.
