Shake Shack Introduces New Dogs, Drink, and Dessert - Miami ...

Restaurateur Danny Meyer's Shake Shack has released four new items nationwide and we were invited to the Coral Gables location to try them out.

The first item is the blood orange lemonade ($2.50 - $3.15). It tastes more like a punch than a lemonade, but you can definitely taste the lemonade influence. If you're a blood orange and/or lemonade aficionado, you'll probably enjoy it.

Next we tried two hot dogs, the Dapper Dog ($4) and the Chicken Dog ($4.40). The Chicken Dog, a chicken, apple, and sage sausage has been on the menu, but has a new name -- it formerly went under the moniker 'bird dog'. It comes plain and was overly salty. The brand new Dapper Dog comes loaded with cheddar and American cheese sauce and ShackMeister Ale marinated shallots. The shallots are breaded, crispy, and delicious, giving an added layer of texture to the Dapper.

Finally, we tried a dessert that can only be described as awe-inspiring. Shake Shack is known for its frozen custards and "concretes" ($3.25 - $6.50) - said frozen custard blended at high speeds with 'mix-in' toppings. The Shack has added 'cheesecake blondie' to its list of available mix-ins and we're glad it did.

We're not sure what cheesecake blondie actually consists of, but we think it may be tiny crumbles of cheesecake and graham crust. Whatever it may be, it is definitely worth trying and quite possible addictive.
